Audio balance slider accessibility with Google TalkBack on Oxygen OS 16 cannot be fixed. OnePlus users, be aware. Oppo and Realme users might be affected.
In my last post, I spoke about accessibility problems with Google TalkBack in Oxygen OS 16 and some workarounds for them. However, this issue cannot be fixed. Please be aware.
I’m beginning to notice that wherever a slider is present, it is not accessible with TalkBack. This is now affecting the Volume Balance slider, located under Accessibility → Hearing section.
What is Audio Balance?
Audio Balance allows you to control how much sound is sent to the left and right channel under stereo setup, which in turn regulates how much sound your left & right headphones or top & bottom/left & right speaker receive, allowing you to adjust the stereo balance. Unfortunately, the slider to control this is currently not working with TalkBack. Gemini also cannot control it, making this setting unusable with TalkBack.
This problem may also be present on Oppo and Realme phones, as OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo all use the same underlying UI (ColorOS).
